Join Our Community Crochet Nights!
After the incredible success of our first crochet night, we're excited to bring it back in October and November! Each granny square crocheted will be combined into a beautiful community-made blanket, and thanks to the overwhelming donations of yarn and hooks, we are ready to create even more! These gatherings are part of our larger goal to open a self-sustaining thrift store, with all proceeds supporting our ongoing community events.
Crochet nights will be held on Saturday 10/19 & Saturday 11/9 from 5pm-8pm. Feel free to bring friends—everyone is welcome! While supplies are abundant, we are still in need of monetary donations to help us reach our fundraising goal for the storefront. Every contribution helps us continue offering events that bring people together and give back to our community. If you’d like to support us, donations can be made through GoFundMe or in person at any of our crochet events.
Come crochet, connect, and contribute to something special.
All skill levels are welcome!
The Goal: For each participant to create 1 granny square. These granny squares will then be crafted into a Community Blanket which will be auctioned/raffled off at our December Warm Clothing Drive!
Experienced Crochet Kings and Queens: Drop in any time between 5pm - 8pm. Bring your own supplies if you would like, or feel free to use yarn generously donated by the community - trust us, there’s plenty!
Crochet Newbie? Its OK!: Come by early for in person instruction, starting at 5pm. This will give you a little extra attention and time learning the basics. We welcome all experience levels and hope to teach you a fun new skill and hobby! We will have some basic supplies available for you to borrow!
Kids: Kids are welcome and encouraged to join us! We’ll have a fun yarn craft station set up just for them. For those ready to advance their crochet skills, we’ll also offer a chance to learn how to make a granny square!
Supplies: We will have some yarn and basic supplies available! If you have extra yarn or supplies that you would like to share/donate, please do! We hope to have enough for everyone to participate!
Potential side effects from this event: a sense of accomplishment, stress relief, self confidence, new skills, social connection, feelings of satisfaction, a feeling of community, a new opportunity to build friendships and knowing you’re part of something that is helping others in your community.
